The Turn Of Counters

In TaeKwon Do there is a kick which i would have to say is my favorite kick out of any kicks any martial arts style has.  This kick when not master but proficient is a decent means of counter select movements that create opening depends on the body positioning of you and your opponent.  This kick can be very hard to master because you loose sight of your target for a split second.  Not only can the target move during those milliseconds that have lapsed. If one is not very proficient at the movement you can very easily miss your intended target and become off balance and open for a counter from your opponent.  One speed and accuracy with this is has been acquired the kick can be used as an offensive movement to your opponent. which could take a good solid year of training just like any movement you want to master.  Id say at least 3 months of training to become proficient at the kick)  Not every one likes kicks when fighting but the one that do are merciless in there attacks.  Sorry for the horrible techno in the video.  Enjoy!!!

If this was turned into a tank.

A few months ago i was watching one of my friends play Metal Gear Solid on the Ps3(don't know which one)  but in it they made bipedal and quadrupedal robots.  Now since this is a video game I didn't really think that Gundam or these machine could be in our near future.  HAHA joke was on me!!!  The same friend later showed me this video of BigDog a quadrupedal robot that is around 3 ft log and stands about 2 ft tall.  It can climb an incline of about 35 degrees and still hold 340 payload.  It even has sensor all over it so that the on board computer can correct its navigation and balance.  After watching this video I just want you to image it being the size of a tank with armor and a turret on its back!!!!!!!!!

The First Brick

I hope that I will be able to keep the attention of many of you with my interest and  the interesting things i find in every day life.  One of my many loves would have to be Martial arts.  In all the forms that it comes in.  Not only is it good for your health as a form of exercise, but if one is a diligent student (and trust me everyone is a student no matter the age) you will be able to not only defend ones self and other but you be surprised at the everyday things you find yourselves doing more efficiently.  One example in my life i fell happens more often then not is someone or even sometimes myself included will drop something and will retrieve it with lightning fast reflexes.  I even save a friends child from smashing there face on a step from tripping just the other week.  With this blahh blahhh being said i feel that everyone can obtain some form of foresight.   When i say this i don't mean some magical ability that one cast, and things just happen that way.  After you train your body, temple, vessel what have you i feel that your mind become some what attended with your surrounds so you almost can see actions that are televised before they even happen.  A good example of this is my friends child.  I seen them walking up the side walk like they did everyday, but i seen a crack  in the sidewalk that they were walking on and i thought myself "hmmm i bet they will trip"  as i was saying this to myself blame it happened.  I feel like the only reason i was able to catch them is that a split second before i felt that, that string of events was about to happen.  I almost feel like i don't have enough knowledge to speak about this but everyone has to start somewhere.
